Lanvin is to launch its first childrenswear line this November ready for spring/summer 2012.
“It’s a way to translate the universe of Lanvin ready-to-wear to the world of kids,” Lanvin’s executive vice president Thierry Andretta told WWD. “We really want to stay in the luxury world.”
Rumoured to be made out of super expensive fabrics that are ten times the price of what is usually used for children’s clothing; this is for the kids who are in the real lap of luxury… and definitely not ones that will be allowed to go play in the park.
No longer will a Fred Perry polo shirt be seen as acceptably splashing out on your kids.
